Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Skillwright, a desktop application published by Seven Hills Software(“we”, “us”). By purchasing a license or installing Skillwright, you agree to these terms.

1. License grant

Subject to payment in full, we grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Skillwright on the number of devices specified by your plan (1 device for Founding and Indie, 3 for Team).

What your license includes

• Founding Member — lifetime access to all future versions on 1 device.
• Indie — perpetual use of the version available at purchase, plus all updates released within 12 months.
• Team — terms posted at launch.

2. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the application or your license key.
• Share a single-device license across multiple machines.
• Use Skillwright to violate any law or third-party right.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, who handles taxes and VAT. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

4. Refunds

14 days, no questions asked. See our Refund Policy for the full process.

5. Updates

Skillwright checks for updates via a signed manifest you can audit. Updates within your eligible window are free. Major version upgrades may be a separate paid release for non-Founding plans.

6. License validation

The app phones home periodically (default: weekly) to confirm your license is still active. You may use Skillwright offline within a configurable grace window. Refunded or revoked licenses stop working at the next successful validation.

7. Warranty disclaimer

Skillwright is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do our best to ship reliable software, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of bugs or interruptions.

8. Limitation of liability

Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

You may stop using Skillwright at any time. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms; in that case we will refund any unused portion of your subscription where applicable.

10. Changes

If we change these terms materially, we will email everyone with an active license at least 30 days before the change takes effect.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Seven Hills Software is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
